I notice a lot of people mistake a crunch for a sit up, and then some that do crunches are doing them not completely right. So ima show you how to you can use it next time you’re in the gym 😉
I use to think a crunch and a sit up were pretty much the same thing, till i found learned how to do each one. A sit up is where you go all the way up to your legs as a crunch you only move mostly your upper back and get the top portion of your abs the most.
lay on your back with your feet shoulder width apart and knees bent, next you can put your hands in front of you, by your side, or behind your head. you’re gonna want to brace the core (tighten it like your gonna get shanked in prison)
then this is where I see people go wrong, so make sure you do this. You’ll want curl your body in ward, like you just got stabbed and your holding your belly, but only the upper section of your body bringing the upper back off the ground. Things that help is imagine like your arching the back while trying to push your belly button towards your spine.
Things People do wrong: Go all the way up to the knees, only move the head and not the body, don’t contract fully, and actually get shanked.
Well hope this helps try these when your stomach isn’t full of food and you’ll feel them for sure have fun with it. 😉
